Bike

Team MMS will host weekly rides on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting in April and ending in October.  Generally, these rides will be 15-25 miles during the week and double that distance on Saturdays.  During the months of November through February, there are some brave athletes that bundle up and still hit the roads, but for those that do not like the cold, the best way to maintain cycling muscles is to attend spin classes, use a trainer or hit the weights at the YMCA or another local fitness club.

Ride Styles

  • "A" Riders- Very fast, 20+ mph average speed
  • "B" Riders- Moderate to fast, 16-19 mph average speed
  • "C" Riders- Relaxed to moderate, 13-15 mph average speed, No Rider Left Behind

Occasionally we will host "New" Riders- 12 mph and below, we will teach you how to switch gears, ride with a group and perform basic maintenance. We will also go over riding etiquette and the rules of the road.

IT IS MANDATORY THAT YOU WEAR A HELMET THAT FITS! NO helmet, NO ride, NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, it is encouraged that you have a head light and tail light for early morning rides.
